Student Accounts

Each student in Model UN in grades 10-12 has a Student Account. Deposits are made when a student "earns" money by working at a fund raising event such as the Hometown Fair or selling Poinsettias; withdrawals are made when the student chooses to use the money in their account for an MUN event such as an invitational trip, registration fees, or the Senior Banquet. The money each student earns is available only for use at an MUN event. All money raised at MUN fund raisers must remain the property of MUN and be used for the benefit of MUN. Therefore, we are unable to directly refund to you the money that was raised.

Student Account money is managed by the Financial Vice President, Ellen Kubo, 310 546-6778 (ellenkubo@earthlink.net), Student Account Manager, Karen Hirsch, 310 545-2881 and Treasurer Ray Soll, 310 546-9061.

If the student is returning to MUN the following year, he/she may choose to leave the money in the account for the next year. If the student is not returning, the money is transferred to the MUN General Fund. If the student is leaving but has a sibling in MUN, the money will be transferred to the sibling's account.
